Is ASMR Beneficial for Our Health?
An Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response is where a person experiences a static-like tingling sensation. This usually begins across the skull or neck and cam move throughout the body. ASMR is an unexplored topic in an emerging community that recently started to catch science’s attention. There have been numerous reviews on multiple forums about this particular topic and the findings are peculiar. In 2010, a Facebook group created by Jennifer Allen brought together many followers of this phenomenon that haven’t found a specific word to express what they were feeling. The group has grown exponentially since then. In the following paragraphs I will explain in more detail what ASMR is about, its benefits, and I will share my personal experience with it.

Getting the Most Out of Your Perfect Night's Sleep
So, you’ve finally worked out your schedule so that you’re, for the most part, getting the recommended eight hours of sleep per night. Which is great, but it seems like just tacking on an hour or two of Zs isn’t really helping. Maybe you’re tossing and turning all night, too focused on worrying about the day ahead to doze off. Or perhaps you get to sleep fine, but clawing your way out of bed at the chime of your alarm is harder than ever. Regardless of your sleeping woe, you probably have room for improvement where your sleep quality is concerned. Read on to learn how you can get the most out of the eight hours you’ve got.

Happy Valversary to Me!
Happy Valvesary to me! I can't believe it has been almost a year since I got my brand spanking new mechanical aortic heart valve. Last May, I had open heart surgery. I did have aortic stenosis, a condition I had from birth. This is a disease where the aortic valve has two leaves as opposed to the normal three, and over time the valve closes up. Not the best situation one can find themselves in. I had surgery in my early teens where a balloon was used through a catheter to open the valve. At that time it was called a balloon dilatation. It did the trick for a few years.

A Story of True Transformation
In the peak of change-mindset month (January) I was faced with a problem. All of the things that has worked in the past to help me lose weight were not working. They weren't working because I was giving up on them within days of starting them.

Chemotherapy
When I got diagnosed with cancer, I didn’t have a choice when it came to chemotherapy. I already had a large tumor in my femur and it was very important to make sure nothing else was growing. Fortunately, my first experience with chemotherapy was a breeze. And when I say breeze, I mean that I was able to get my infusion, let it do its job, and then flush it out of my system. I hated having that stuff in my body and followed all my directions to get the process over with sooner than later.

The Call
Have you ever seen a tree fighting to hold onto that last dangling leaf, as Autumn yields to Winter's raw touch? Notice how even in the coldest, most frigid conditions the trees allow the snowfall to find a resting place in their arms. With deep-rooted strength and primordial stillness, they hold all that this season brings upon them. Whether or not they understand that in time the snow will melt and fall away, and they’ll once again feel the warmth of the sun and the lightness that accompanies it, is beside the point. And in fact, this is the true message:

Vaping Can Save Your Life
I started smoking when I was 15. I stole a pack of my father’s cigarettes and went to school. I wanted to be one of the cool kids. (This was also in the early 90s when cigarettes weren’t $12 a pack) I never thought this very pack of cigarettes would send me into a downward spiral. In hindsight, I never thought I would stop smoking, that Lung cancer was a myth and couldn’t touch me. I was a stupid kid and an even stupider young adult.
