Move in Silence Like a New York Sunrise
August 25 Monday Morning Huddle

Good morning, and welcome to my Monday Morning Huddle for the last week of August. The recent new moon in Virgo speaks of new projects and new ideas; ergo, procrastination is not encouraged, but manifestation need not be spoken. Moving in silence, like the rising sun captures intentions on a static backdrop, rising one to the top without interference from would-be storms of naysayers' shade.
Well, that is certainly a bit of a mouthful, but it's the message I received this morning while photographing a New York sunrise.
Let's break it all down into digestible pieces.
New moon in Virgo
The first new moon in Virgo occurred on August 23, 2:06 a.m. ET (also a black moon). The second new moon in Virgo season (yes, it's true) will happen on September 21 and will accompany a partial eclipse.
According to the New York Post, the new moon in Virgo August 2025 is our best shot at starting over, and I concur.
Recently emerging mercury retrograde marks a return to clarity and a spiritually charged time of putting into motion the lessons learned during the previous retroshade period. This entails more than making plans; taking action is the name of the game post retrograde, but out of shadows does not necessarily mean escaping shade.
Remember the paragraph above. I will come back to it momentarily.
New moon in Virgo is a powerhouse lunation, inspiring the deepest of dives into ourselves, aligning our spiritual purpose with our physical walk on earth.
Encouraging manifestation during a period of potency, Virgo calls for clearing clutter, organizing, routine refinement, and the acceptance of spiritual gifts true to oneself. Beginning anew again for the second half of 2025 means claiming one's place in the world by rising to the occasion with fresh ideas partnered with detail-specifics.
Think: Mercury retrograde storm period, a time of sitting and waiting out all self-perceived setbacks, become the flash forward lightening bolt moment during Virgo to stand up, shake oneself off, and put the pedal to the metal.
New York sunrise
A New York sunrise is a sight to behold, whether in the NYC skyline or in its capital, Albany, where I reside. Early morning. A cityside backdrop. Sunrise from my balcony. These are gems I cherish when a new dawn's arrival heralds gifts without making a sound.
Magnificent, our bold and beautiful sun is. Rising each day minus noise. Day Star's inspiration encourages personal likeness; rising to the occasion and, perhaps more importantly, doing so without conversing, doing so without divulging plans, doing so without discussing aims, tactics, and objectives.
Nature simply is, and no explanation is necessary. The magick felt with our senses- sight, smell, sound, taste, touch- are gifts aligning spirituality with physicality, and the questions are all irrelevant. The truest of all answers lie within oneself, the center, the heart space, where silence is not only the source, it's the voiceless guide one often doesn't realize leading the way.
A sunrise speaks to the inner self, source, heart space, encouraging, inspiring forward movement, commanding rise through resonance, just as the sun itself ascends, surpassing shadows, the darker places, as night bids adieu, passing daybreak the baton.
Many a magickal moment in nature, all wanded without words.
Recently coming out of mercury retrograde marks a return to clarity and a spiritually charged time of putting into motion the lessons learned during the previous retroshade period. This entails more than making plans; taking action is the name of the game post retrograde, but out of shadows does not necessarily mean escaping shade.
Silence is your superpower
Often when making plans, the urge to share with others becomes so compelling that it's difficult to ignore. I've done it too, many times, but in retrospect, I can count the times when I should have hushed my mouth and proceeded accordingly on my own without affording anyone details.
Today's Monday Morning Huddle message asks you to consider moving in silence as Virgo season progresses.
Available energy vibrates success on the horizon, fulfillment of plans, actionable results, new goals, new blessings, rising in a chosen field or area, and becoming the best version of oneself. However, not everyone will share in the joy celebrated by others.
From shade to sun, you are meant to rise, but hold your tongue, spirit's advice.
Why?
- not everyone wants to see you move up- could be jealousy or a personal sense of inadequacy- bad energy, which you don't need
- people can steal your ideas- could even be someone you least expect
- time hoggers, distractions, calculated deterrence- funny how divulged plans suddenly turn into people steadily needing your time, diverting you from your intended purpose(s)
- naysayer nonsense- sometimes, others' bad energy translates to spreading rumors, trying to sabotage your potential, your reputation, hindering an otherwise prosperous outcome
******
Of course, I speak only from a place of love and like to think people are better than throwing shade and acting from a place of lower energy, but the unfortunate reality is that this simply is not the reality of the world we live in.
I wish for everyone to rise like the sun and proceed with new moon in Virgo energy, becoming the very best version of self possible, but do it with care and be mindful.
There's no need to reveal all. There's no need to say your plans out loud for anyone who's not supportive, whether obviously or subtly, to try and gain momentum over your personal growth.
Perhaps talking the talk should take a walk, and instead, silent surrender will render spiritual spirals of upward rewards.

Thanks for reading, and I hope everyone has a beautiful week.
Heading over to YouTube now for the podcast version, which will also be done in silence. I will come back and link later for anyone who might want to check it out!

Omggg, that's soooo true and real. That is why I don't share with others my plans. I just keep them to myself. Can't trust anyone these days 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Also, this was soooo fascinating! I've always heard of retrograde but not of retroshade. Your photo is stunning! Anyway, how have you been doing Marilyn?
Thank you, Marilyn! I got a lot from this week’s Huddle. I like the idea of moving forward quietly. Sometimes we accomplish more when we just get right down to it and do it. We don’t always have to voice things out to others we can move ahead on our own accord and be the best version of ourselves within our own creativity. I like the four bullet points you included under the Why section. I experience the naysayers quite often. That’s OK. Because I know who I am and I know I’m a good person and I hope good on others. I’m not perfect. I’ve made my mistakes. But I can forgive myself and I can move forward. Thank you I learned a lot from this. Cyber HUG to you!
Hi, I read your story and I really liked it. It seems like you are a professional writer because you give each scene its own unique value, which very few people manage to do. I really liked your work it was very, very good. Actually, I’m just a casual reader, and I really enjoy reading stories. and I liked it a lot, too. Also, how long have you been doing this work?
There is a power in silence, which I discovered years ago. This had some negative feelings today but overall still inspirational Look forward to next Mondays
Very inspirational as per usual, Marilyn. I find both astrology and astronomy fascinating. And your advice and suggestions are always polished, letting us see how you’ve done your homework. I always want to push forward but like you say, procrastinating doesn’t help. Thoughts alone about what you want to do, won’t make it happen. We (I) have to actually do it. Thank you so much again. Mondays are the best time for these huddles.
