Men's Lives Matter
It started brilliantly. It all seemed to be going well . Our new site generated immediate profit, there were new contracts on offer to expand and our turnover was pushing £70,000 a month. Conservative projections would see us tip over £200,000 per month within Q4 of 2019. We were expanding rapidly. We were onto something.

And reliable people do things
It is said that it is suitable for a common thing. There will always be some people who are not very reliable in life. It is always perfunctory, and the date is always delayed, and even the problem will only go through the problem.

Queen Serpent's Bloom
A day in the mountains of empowering women—panels, workshops, cruelty free food, inclusivity, community, knowledge, growth; it was everything I wanted to absorb and radiate. The advertisement sold personal pussy power and I felt it's call as if it had my name in bold at the top of the page and a curling finger luring me to proceed to checkout. Other like-minded women would surely too feel the call and we would share in this day of self discovery and bloom like one big fucking transformational flower.

Fiskars to the rescue - the mental health benefits of craft
For me, I rediscovered my love of crafting and sewing after the death of my father 8 years ago at a time when I was a mum to an 8 month old and a 3 year old. Don't get me wrong, I am so very blessed with my children and would not change it for the world but sometimes the Groundhog-Day-ness of the endless washing/cleaning/tidying/feeding/juggling/responsibility/ lack of sleep coupled with grief or other life troubles can get you down. I realised it provided me with comfort, an escape from the troubles of the day, a bubble of calm where I could shut out the anxieties of day to day life and gave me a feeling of accomplishment however small that was and insignificant to the rest of the world. It made me feel happy and productive. The impact was so significant that I now run my own sewing pattern business, Greyfriars and Grace, allowing me to do what I love as a job and, hopefully, encouraging more people to take up sewing along the way.
